Shaking Things Up – 2013 Edition

2013With a new semester beginning this week, don’t you think it’s time to shake things up a bit? Here are some ways to add change to your spring semester and possibly your life.

  1. Join a club – Today is the perfect day for this! Purdue Student Union Board is hosting a Spring Activities Bonanza in the Armory from 11 AM – 2 PM this afternoon! Go check out what organizations you could be a part of at Purdue.
  2. Find a Job – Have you been looking for a job on campus that in flexible with your classes but can also earn you a little extra spending money? Check out Purdue’s student employment postings webpage for available opportunities. Also, don’t forget to look around Chauncey Hill area for opportunities.
  3. Volunteer – As a Purdue student you can volunteer with organizations on campus, at events sponsored by the university, and within the Greater Lafayette Community, the possibilities are endless. Pick up the latest version of the Exponent for ideas, or you can check out the Purdue E-Board for other opportunities.
  4. See A PerformancePurdue Convocations has many performances and events for you to attend. The best part is that as a student, you get a discounted ticket price! Check out what shows will be on campus this semester that you could grab tickets for!
  5. Travel The World – Maybe you have always wanted to see a bigger city such as Indianapolis? Or, maybe you have always wanted to study in Florence, Italy. Take that opportunity this semester! Transportation such as Greyhound or Amtrak will take you to nearby cities such as Indianapolis or Chicago. If you are looking for a much bigger adventure such as one to Italy, check out the Purdue Study Abroad website for programs that might fit what you are looking for.
