2014 WINNERS: DELTA ZETA SORORITY and SIGMA ALPHA EPSILON FRATERNITY
The week of November 10th through 14th is all about encouraging the Greek community on Purdue’s campus to further their professional skills. This week we are having a competition between all Greek houses. The winner gets awarded their name on a plaque shown in the CCO in Young 132. Not only that, but the winning house will be promoted by the Purdue CCO through all social media channels.
There are many ways to earn points for their house. To start, members get points for coming into the office for all normal drop in services (from 10 AM-4 PM, Monday-Friday), for example resume and cover letter critique. Also, tweeting or adding the Purdue CCO on any social media (Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram) will help them earn points for their Greek organization. Let us know what house your in by hash tagging your Greek letters in a tweet to us or Facebook post on our page. In addition, each of the houses has received a box to put their new or gently used professional clothes to be used in the Career Closet. The houses also have the opportunity to sign their house up to have a presentation from the CCO at their house, or even have several ambassadors come to their house to do resume critiques. This week is a great opportunity to build on your professional skills and learn how to even better represent the Purdue Greek community.
The CCO Greek Week should be a no brainer for anyone. Who wouldn’t want to come in and get their resume checked or have a career development presentation at their house, all while participating in a competition? This opportunity is encouraged for all members of the house, including freshman through senior year. Although the Purdue CCO will be focusing on getting the Greek community participating in all the activities to gain points, as usual, all students are still welcome at the CCO.
If you are in a Greek organization on campus, this is your week to come check out what the Purdue CCO can do for you.
